Foundations of AIS: Training Program Orientation and Career Pathways is your structured start into the world of Aeronautical Information Services. Designed for new hires, trainees, and cross-functional aviation professionals, this course demystifies the AIS mission, how information flows from originators to end users, and the standards that ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness. You’ll meet the instructional team, explore the syllabus and delivery plan, and get hands-on with core learning tools—CBT platforms, official libraries, and operational documentation—so you know exactly how to succeed from day one. The program blends theory, practical exercises, group work, and checkpoint quizzes to help you build confidence across AIS operational functions including static and dynamic data management, publications, charting, and the Aeronautical Reporting Office (ARO). You’ll also understand how national AIS fits within the broader air navigation service ecosystem and interfaces with ATM, ANSP units, and external stakeholders.
