The course titled "Competency-Based Training for Air Traffic Controllers" is designed to equip trainers and assessors with the necessary skills and knowledge to implement effective competency-based training (CBT) methodologies within the air traffic control (ATC) domain. This course is particularly relevant in the context of international aviation standards set forth by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). As the aviation industry continues to evolve, the need for highly skilled air traffic controllers who can operate within a dynamic and complex environment has never been more critical. This course will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of CBT, ensuring that they are well-prepared to train the next generation of air traffic controllers.

Throughout the course, participants will engage with a series of modules that cover essential topics such as the ICAO framework for CBT, the regulatory context established by EASA, and the design and delivery of effective training programs. Each module is structured to facilitate interactive learning and practical application, allowing participants to explore real-world scenarios and case studies that highlight the challenges and solutions associated with implementing CBT in air traffic control training. By the end of this course, participants will have developed a robust competency framework that not only meets regulatory requirements but also enhances the overall quality of training provided to air traffic controllers across diverse operational environments.
